Cat was the 2023 National Champion Open Donkey Trail winner with her previous owner, Lindsey Williamson aboard. She was also the 2023 Reserve National Champion Youth Trail Donkey expertly ridden by Carrie Brigham.

We just purchased Cat in September of 2023 for our personal mammoth riding donkey. We took her to her first show a week later at the American Mule & Music Festival World Championship Mule & Donkey Show where my friend Savannah Ames showed her. They won four blues and five seconds after just practicing four times under the expert guidance of Nancy Whitley and Maria Lloyd. I am so very grateful to my many friends that help me enjoy my donkeys. A special thank you to Carrie Brigham and Jay Jaxtheimer for their pointers and advice during the show. We appreciate you.

Cat is going to be perfect for me. She is the sweetest donkey ever and loves being with people. She will canter all day long if you ask her too.  She excels in trail classes and she is just what I have been looking for all these years. One day I may breed her but for now I am just going to enjoy riding, showing and loving her.

Christmas came early in 2015 because Jitterbug arrived all the way from Coyote Run Miniature Donkey Farm in Arkansas. She is a gorgeous masked spotted light red who is covered in beautiful dapples from her head to her tail. She has four white legs and the largest blaze face you have ever seen. Jitterbug is trained for driving and in-hand. We have always loved and admired this jennet when we saw her competing in NMDA shows so when she was offered for sale I jumped at the chance to own her. This is one very fancy performance donkey and we absolutely love her! Thank you to Jerry and Belinda Whitley for allowing me to own Jitterbug and for doing such a fine job of training this fabulous jennet. Jitterbug was previously trained for in-hand by Sandi Costa and trained for driving by Debbie Lee.

A special thank you to my former side kick, Katie Randall, for the fantastic job she did handling this jennet. Everything you see from the trail obstacles to her driving was done for the very first time with no practice runs. I absolutely adore J-Bug and you will have to pry her out of my cold dead hands when I die.

UPDATE!!! With very limited showing in NMDA shows Jitterbug has earned enough points to win the following awards from the American Donkey Association:

SUPREME IN PERFORMANCE
EXCELLENCE IN HALTER
EXCELLENCE IN-HAND
EXCELLENCE IN DRIVING

She has now earned her supreme in performance and she is four points away from earning her supreme in halter as well. We just have not attended any more NMDA shows at this time but hope to as soon as this Covid scare is over.

Jitterbug has produced the following foal:

1) No information except that the jennet foal is now residing in France.

Sweetie went into labor close to midnight. Her water broke at 12:32am. When nothing happened for twenty minutes and we did not see anythng in the birth canel we immedietly called the vet. Dr. Harris had delivered another breech foal for us nine years ago so we knew he was more than capable of saving our foal and the mother. After much labor on Dr. Harris' part he was finally able to pull the foal out backwards by her back legs. She was alive!! We have part of this on video as I had to put my camera down and help at times. This little girl is not for sale because her sire was sold out of the country and we want to keep his outstanding bloodlines in our herd.

We named this precious girl Little White Lie because although she is now a light red and white spot she will 'frost out' when she is older and be completely white like her mom. But I sure would love to be totally wrong about that. So very sorry but this jennet is Not For Sale! Liza has turned out to be one of the most gorgeous and correct jennets we could ever hope for. We are so very thrilled to add her to our future brood jennet band.

Liza, with very limited showing, only needs five more points to earn her excellence in halter with The American Donkey Association.  We are going to put off breeding her until her show career is over.
