Unbelievable to say the least! Just when we thought we were so tired we couldn't stay awake another minute, Sunshine went into labor and blessed us with, yet another, little spotted jennet. Bow had just foaled about 8 hours sooner. Could this be possible, did this really happen, were they both flashy spotted girls????? We thought they looked so much alike that I was telling Joe they could enter a "Best Matched Pair Class."

It has been hard naming our foals this year as each one has been so unique. It, sometimes, takes a while to be with them and learn their personalities before we decide on just that perfect name. Many of our Mare Stare watchers suggested good names but this cute little girl was demanding we look at her, play with her, snuggle her, pet her, laugh at her and just let her be the frolicking little "kick up her heals girl" she could be. Her markings were so cute, and she was so fuzzy, that it was hard to keep our hands off of her while smiling the entire time at her deliberate antics. Those two big white spots, one on each hip, reminded us of big fluffy pockets, pom poms , fancy pants, hip pockets, etc. We found ourselves reaching out to pat her bottom right on those two big white spots every time she'd fly by us saying, "look at my cute ass"…That's It! We had the name…it had to be Pick Pocket, nothing else would do. Pockets will win your heart, put a smile on your face, and "Pick Your Pocket" for all the love you can give. Simple adorable and "sorry" she is not for sale at this time. She is still picking our pockets for all the love we can give. Sunshine, the mom, really outdid herself this time and gave us a pocketful of Sunshine!

This miniature donkey has a new home!
We had no intentions of selling this gorgeous girl
but we were made an offer we simply could not refuse!
